(CLICK TO ENLARGE) Here is a picture of our precious Soren. She is almost 4 months old now! She is decked out in her "Red" shirt and armed with a prayer band for Kenya. We are heavy hearted for the crisis in Kenya right now over the election, over fertile land, and over the deepest and oldest of issues, power. great

I had an awesome time at the Church at the Crossing Womens' Conference last weekend! I had the privilege of being accompanied by my mom for the weekend too - she is able to travel along to about 1 event a year. It was my last booked event until after my maternity leave. We are just about a month away! Here are some pix of the weekend... you know, typical of what a girl does in her 8th month of pregnancy... limbo, dancing with a guitar, attending a luau... :)

    long

...We watched and waited in line with God's children from all around the world alongside of us. Young, old, black, white, some with special needs, gay, straight, formally-fitted, casually-clad. Sure, there were probably plenty of things that we could all disagree about, but it simply did not matter. For this hour, we'd come from all around the world to gather in London and to experience community, to worship together. There is something good and right about all being welcome at God's table...

I'm writing from Scotland! Jeff and I are having a blast as we travel through Europe sightseeing and visiting friends who are living here now. We've been in Scotland for 2 weeks and we'll be headed to Paris today and London after that. We'll be home in early June. We've been amazed at the beauty of God's earth in ways that we haven't seen before. We've been richly blessed to meet incredible people on our journey that we'll call lifelong friends.

As you probably know, this year has been much like a sabbatical for us from playing out. As Jeff finished up his Master's degree in music at Butler University, we took more time to be home to enable his better focus on his studies. I've enjoyed this time and have spent a lot of it writing new songs, practicing piano/voice in new ways, and overall spending more time with family and friends.

Much of the new material on which I've been working will be recorded on our new CD project that we're starting this summer. I'm so excited to record a full-length and full-band album and to put creative energy toward a new project. I'll keep you posted to the details!!!

If you've made it this far, then you'll read our most exciting news... Jeff and I are expecting our first baby! We, again, feel so fortunate to have this new season in our lives. I am 3 and 1/2 months pregnant and we're due in November. Thank you for your prayers in this amazing chapter.

    Peace to you,
    Sarah

    howdy

Howdy... no, I haven't disappeared! As my husband finishes his masters' degree this semester, we've decided to take a slight break from extensive travels. For me, this has been an incredible time of rest and renewal including time to write songs, to build relationships, and have time at home! We do have some upcoming dates as a part of conferences and concerts and we up to continue to see you soon!
    Peace,
    Sarah
